How to request deletion of your data from our platform
Your Right to Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your data from our platform at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what happens to your data when you do.
Our data deletion process complies with Meta Platform Policies and applicable data protection regulations.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon a valid deletion request, we will permanently delete:
- Message History: All Instagram Direct Messages stored in our system
- Conversation Metadata: Read receipts, reactions, timestamps
- Account Information: Your business profile data and settings
- Access Tokens: Instagram API authentication credentials
- Agent Data: User accounts and activity logs associated with your account
Important Note
Deleting data from our platform does not delete your messages from Instagram itself. To delete messages on Instagram, please use the Instagram app directly.
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data using any of the following methods:
Email Request
Send an email to our data protection team with the subject line "Data Deletion Request":

If you have access to your account, you can submit a deletion request directly from your account settings within the platform dashboard.
Disconnect Instagram
You can also revoke our app's access directly from your Instagram account settings. Go to Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove our application. This will automatically trigger data deletion.
Information Required for Email Requests
To process your deletion request, please include:
- Your Instagram Business account username
- The email address associated with your account on our platform
- Company name (if applicable)
- Confirmation that you are authorized to request deletion for this account
Deletion Process Timeline
Request Received
We acknowledge your request within 24-48 hours
Verification
We verify your identity and authorization (1-3 business days)
Data Deletion
Your data is permanently deleted from our systems
Confirmation
You receive confirmation of completed deletion
Total Time: Data deletion is typically completed within 30 days of receiving a valid request. In most cases, deletion is completed much faster.
Data Retention Exceptions
In certain limited circumstances, we may need to retain some data even after a deletion request:
- Legal Obligations: When required by law to retain records
- Dispute Resolution: Data needed for ongoing legal proceedings
- Fraud Prevention: Information necessary to prevent fraud or abuse
If any of these exceptions apply, we will inform you of the specific data being retained and the reason.
